Georgia Appliance Rebates:
The State of Georgia will implement a mail-in rebate program to help residents replace older, inefficient appliances with ENERGY STAR qualified appliances. Consumers can increase rebate amounts for some appliances by purchasing models with efficiencies beyond the current ENERGY STAR level. The program is tentatively scheduled to begin in February 2010.
After purchasing an appliance, customers must register online or by phone. Customers purchasing new refrigerators and freezers will need to certify that they will recycle their replaced unit.
